Keep an X video quotation in context
Start with an existing permitted local video. This guide does not fetch X/Twitter URLs, post text or replies.
1. Keep the source and its limits
Use an actual local recording, not a bookmark or post URL. Note whether the clip starts midway through a longer exchange; the opening of your file is not necessarily the opening of the statement.
Check: You know the coverage of the media you intend to quote.

Use Video to Text for one browser-decodable English recording up to 100 MB. Model loading and language checks apply. Check both sides of a cut, names and qualifiers. Words visible only in the video are not OCR input.
Check: The wording is audible and its surrounding context supports the quote.
Continue in the matching tool3. Separate a quote from your paraphrase
Keep the checked words in a transcript copy and your interpretation in a separate note with the source reference. TXT/Markdown use current edits; valid SRT/VTT can be reviewed as subtitles. Do not infer omitted speech from the post description.
Check: A reader can identify which words are quoted and which are yours.

What processing and privacy boundaries apply?
Local decoding, recognition, replay, edits and downloads run in your browser. Model resources need network access, but the local recording and transcript are not uploaded. There is no account history or saved cloud project; download your work before closing the tab. Same-origin editor transfer keeps the cues and recording local between tabs. Instagram URL retrieval and YouTube caption lookup have separate server-assisted privacy boundaries.
Where should I continue?
Open the matching tool and follow its current input requirements. Keep the original, review your result and download it before closing the tab.
